Make your own marbled stationary

My local craft superstore had bargain sets of blank cards and envelopes (100 for $2.50) that I've been eyeing as potentially cheap stationary. (I know, I know, not recycled...I'm working on a source for that.) I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with them, though. Then I remembered a technique I learned in an art class ages ago, and I thought I would share...
It involves making really pretty marbled paper using - of all things - shaving cream. You can use any color(s) you want (even metallic ones like silver) to make really unique and economical stationary.
You can find out how to do it through this handy guide.
Hope this inspires some folks!
